Tia Ruggiero, LCSW-R, CCTP, CFTP, brings over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, families and adults. She has been providing mental health services in Warren and Washington Counties since 2015 through her work with the Glens Falls Hospital Center for Children and Families, Behavioral Health Services North, and in private practice. Over the years, Tia has supported children, adolescents, adults, and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping people navigate trauma, mood challenges, relationship stress, and life transitions.
Tia believes therapy should offer space to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you’ve been carrying. She brings warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity to the work, helping clients explore their experiences while developing practical skills, strategies, and confidence to move forward. Her approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-supported, skill-building therapies that honor each person’s unique story and support their definition of wellness and healing.
Tia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Plattsburgh and her Master of Social Work from the University at Albany. Outside of her work as a therapist, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, camping and hiking in the Adirondacks, traveling, reading, and writing.
Please note: Our practice is transitioning to Dragonfly Haven of the Adirondacks LCSW PLLC (formerly Well Child LCSW PLLC). The name change is currently pending NYS approval; all legal, billing, and insurance documentation remain under Well Child LCSW PLLC at this time.
